For our TENTH episode of TETHERED, four/four presents a group of artists from around the world, uniting in digital music and dance collaboration while live performances remain paused. This special epsiode features Chicago based experimental inide pop duo OHMME, who use their striking vocal harmonies and lean, angular guitar patterns to create songs that are spare but full-bodied, making cleaver use of dynamics to generate a rich sound out of a small number of elements. Movement to OHMME's original score for dance features Spain-based dance company choreographers Mario Bermudez Gil and Catherine Coury of Marcat Dance, Toronto based dancer Rakeem Hardy, and Cleaveland based dancer/choregrapher, Antonio Brown.
Following TETHERED X., choreographer, curator, and producer Benjamim Akio Kimitch has put together a program of archived dance works by artists Justin Shoulder, Johnnie Cruise Mercer, Tyler Ashley, the Dauphine of Bushwick, and China Central Song and Dance ensemble.
